Keyword requests return up to 25 rows, not necessarily 25 useful topics. Some searches have limited coverage. Audits cost 13 credits for a 250-page ceiling or 50 for 1,000 pages on Pro+. Linking-website reports cost 10 credits for up to 100 rows or 14 for 500 on Pro+. Recorded AI-mention searches cost 42 credits. Check the exact quote before running.

Do AI checks use my SEO credits?
No. Fresh checks use a separate monthly allowance: 5 with SEO, 20 with Pro+. Searching DataForSEO’s recorded AI mentions is different and costs 42 SEO credits per request. Neither runs automatically. Spending-safety limits may pause fresh checks even with units remaining; no additional payment is taken. Contact support if a pause persists.
Do I need my own AI assistant?
Use a compatible assistant for conversational SEO research. Existing pre-registered custom connections in ChatGPT web, Claude Desktop and Codex passed owner-assisted launch checks for sign-in, saved research or quotes, and server-side revocation; setup is in your dashboard. The new Claude plugin authentication path is separate and still awaits deployment and installed-client testing. These checks are not platform approval. Your assistant subscription or usage is separate. You can also run fresh AI checks and manage saved work directly in BrandVane.
What happens to unused credits?
Paid invoices add SEO credits to your balance. Unused SEO credits carry forward and can be used during an active paid subscription. Fresh AI checks reset with each paid billing period and do not roll over. Pro+ teammates share the workspace’s balances, not an extra allowance each.
Can I cancel or buy more credits?
You can cancel through the billing portal and keep access through the paid period. The top-up is $9 for 300 credits. There are no automatic top-ups. Failed payments do not extend access.
What if a request fails?
Failed research is refunded in credits. Requests with an uncertain provider charge may stay pending for review. Reuse the same request key rather than starting another paid request while the first is unresolved.
What about my existing BrandVane purchase?
Existing purchases retain their original terms. This redesign does not change an earlier tracker subscription, reservation or audit purchase.
